At Citybond Suretravel, we believe buying travel insurance should be clear, simple, and reassuring – not confusing or uncertain.
That’s why we’ve introduced albert & eddie, a smart new way to guide you through the quote process. It’s designed to make everything easier to understand, helping you choose a policy that suits your needs – without the jargon.
albert & eddie is named after two of history’s great problem-solvers: Einstein and Edison. Fitting, we think – because it’s all about making travel insurance more straightforward.
A quick note: Citybond Suretravel and albert & eddie are both trading names of Travel Insurance Facilities Plc, so you’re still dealing with a familiar, trusted provider. All policies shown are underwritten by Collinson Insurance (a trading name of Astrenska Insurance Limited).
albert & eddie uses a short set of questions to understand your trip and what type of cover you may need. Based on your answers, you’ll see a selection of policies from our wider product suite – including Citybond Suretravel and our sister brands.
For example, if you tell us how much your trip cost per person, we’ll only show options that include at least that amount in cancellation cover. This helps ensure the policies presented are more relevant to you.
As well as our Citybond Suretravel cover, we have chosen to offer our customers policies that were designed for people with more complex medical conditions, more specialist activity cover, and longer holidays.
Also, if one of our sister brands offers the same level of cover at a lower price, we’ll show you that too – so you can make an informed choice with everything in one place.
Please note: this is a non-advised service. While we aim to make it easier for you to compare options, you’ll need to review the policy documents carefully to make sure the product you choose is suitable for your needs.
Travel insurance can sometimes feel complicated. With albert & eddie, our goal is to reduce that complexity and give you more confidence when choosing a policy.
The tool compares your needs with the features of each policy and presents a shortlist of three closely matched products. That means fewer options to sift through, clearer comparisons, and more confidence that the policy you choose will be right for your trip – and will perform as expected if you need to claim.
Again, we don’t offer advice, but we’ve designed this journey to support you in making your own informed decision.
Yes – we’re proud to continue using Protectif, a specialist medical risk rating tool that supports fair and accurate screening for travellers with medical conditions.
We’ve integrated Protectif into the albert & eddie journey, so you can still declare your conditions in the same way and receive appropriate cover options – now with the added benefit of a simpler, more intuitive process.
You can learn more about Protectif and how it works here.
You’ll be asked a few quick questions, including details about your trip and any medical conditions. Once you’ve completed those, you’ll be shown a personalised set of product options to review.
Please remember: this is a non-advised purchase, and you should ensure the cover you choose is appropriate for your specific needs and circumstances.
